We are stuck in New Harbour for three more days because of a blizzard
that came in and stopped the helicopters from flying! The winds were

A. First thing is that they try very hard NOT to blow bubbles (that

Glad to hear you are enjoying the site... all this feedback is
encouraging me to keep up those late evenings trying to upload the
photos here at New Harbour!!

The cooking here takes a little longer probably because we are wearing
such a lot of heavy clothing and big heavy boots that our movements

Hi Wayne,
Glad you are enjoying the wikisite! It's truly amazing to have internet
access here at New Harbour, 80km from Scott Base. It is quite slow though
and won't upload the video clips, so they will have to wait until I am back
at Scott Base.
As to your questions:
The sea water is -1.9C . The divers wear a dry suit with layers of polypro

Yep you got it sorted! I got your email no problems.
I had a lovely chat with the older class today. They had some great
questions.
Hope to see you end November - begin December. I plan to visit with some of
the Antarctic NZ clothing to show the children.

Some children at Warrington school have asked about the divers and how
they breathe.

The divers have tanks filled with air on their backs. The air is
compressed by using a machine that runs on deisel that takes air from
