Subject: Pledge your support for Open Education

Hi Everyone,

(Apology for double posting for those of you on our OERNZ list)

Take control of your digital future between 17 and 19 September 2009, and
join WikiEducators around the world who are sharing knowledge freely by
pledging to sign the Cape Town Open Education Declaration. The OER
Foundation will be signing the declaration on 17 September 2009 to coincide
with global activities in celebration of Software Freedom Day and to mark
the official launch of the Foundation.

This is a great opportunity for Kiwi educators and institutions to pledge
support for sharing knowledge and building our New Zealand OER commons. You
are free to sign the declaration in your personal or institution capacity.
Be sure to register your pledge on WikiEducator.

Sign up on the wiki and join the celebrations:

Lets make the future happen.
Cheers
Wayne

Hi Wayne,

Yesterday felt like a very big day for OER and CC, and indeed the planet.

Just asked Jane for her input re. a CCANZ quote for your news release. We'll
try to get something to you by lunchtime, if at all possible. Otherwise
we'll post your news release on the CCANZ and HRN (Humanities Research
Network) websites just after you've posted it.

Thanks for signaling your availability today. I've got a midday lecture and
a 2pm today, which will go on till the end of the day. I've suggested to
Jane that we all three of us talk sometime in between 1pm and 2pm.

We will be in touch.but if not today, next Monday?
