Beach Clean-up low turn-out

Hi All,

After a record turn-out for the tree planting, numbers dropped off
dramatically for the annual beach clean-up. There was 12 in total,
with 4 of these being children.

It was a beautiful warm day on the beach.

Myself, I would take the beach clean-up over tree planting any day!

Update - Its looking like a great weekend for Friends of Whatipu at
Waitangi Weekend.

The lodge is fully booked for Saturday night and there are even a few
friends and members planning to camp.

Rumour is that for the guest speak - we have another member of the
Harvey clan, but this time its Waitakere Mayor Bob Harvey.

What about the idea of a 'Whatipu' History page? We include excerpts
from Bruce Harvey's book on "Whatipu".

Also Geology and Nature pages are other candidates.
